 So, i found my old BC install cd's, and tried punching it into the battle net account page.

I was then told that my key was already in use Oo... Did it get registered when i registered my WotlK key, or is something more nefarious at play here?

 You don't have to put your WoW keys into battle net. It should already have them when you linked your account.
